Post New rules

Hello ladies and gentleman. This year has already been a great one for the clan, with 5.8B clan exp on double exp weekend, decreased clan member turnover, and less drama in clan chat.

That being said there are still ways we can improve. One of the biggest issues we face with being an efficient clan is the reputation of valuing only xp. When this happens people's feelings, and the rules of the game, tend to go out the window. We don't want members to feel like they have to break the rules of RuneScape in order to fit in. For this reason we are incorporating a new rule into cc and a complimentary one regarding clan discussion outside cc.

1. Players may not encourage rule breaking. This is already a rule of the game so it shouldn't be a hard one to follow, however you may not even know you're doing it. Things like "Looking for heist partner, must have alt." will not be acceptable. Additionally we will be adopting a new protocol when it comes to selling warband supplies. You must not specify that you are selling an amount of supplies greater than what is possible for one person to obtain. The best way to do this is to say "Selling mining supplies, pm me." The punishment for not following this rule is a (1) warning followed by demerits. Other rules still apply such as players not in clan only being allowed to buy in cc.

2. Players in the clan must not publicly disparage clan members or policies outside of clan chat. This means no flaming us on forums, or the like. Additionally, it is asked that you do not intentionally harm any method being utilized by the clan. This means no making videos or forum posts attempting to hinder other players money or xp gains. The punishment for flaming the clan or bringing negative attention to the clan will be looked at on a case by case basis.

The new rule regarding the clan chat goes into effect, tomorrow, March 3, 2014. Please ask me or another admin if you have any questions of concerns. Thank you for your time.

Re: The reputation of only valuing XP

I think it's important to recognize that we are Efficiency Experts, not Efficiency Police. If someone is using a method which is not the most efficient available, the right thing to do is (politely) let them know and offer to teach them the best method. If they do not want help or are happy with the way they are doing things, the conversation should end there. There's no reason to flame or call out a clanmate for not doing things perfectly. We should only offer them information and then let them decide what to do. Often once a player knows the advantages of doing things differently they will soon see the value in changing their methods and your work will already be done.
