Post Cape of 10s improvement.
Currently, the capes have NO stats at all, which is a shame.

My suggestion:

Max cape (current stats) +5 attacks, +11 defence, +4 strength, +10 prayer

90 cape: +4 in attacks, +9 in defence, +2 strength, +4 prayer
80 cape: +3 in attacks, +8 in defence, +1 strength, +3 prayer
70 cape: +2 in attacks, +7 in defence, +2 prayer.
60 cape: +1 in attacks, +6 defence, +1 prayer.
50 cape: +5 defence
...
10 cape: +1 defence

This way they're still worth using while not rendering shit like ardy, sw, alerter, fire capes useless.

Shit no. I'd have stopped at 90s that way.

Maybe ~half that, but Maxed should be more than just +1 over 90s.

The 90s cape is beaten in every individual aspect by other capes.

But still, do you support the idea of making them worth using?

Also, a graphical update that makes the 80 and 90 capes not look noobish would be nice.

I like the aesthetic appeal of ascending defensive bonuses, but the attack bonuses sort of spoil it--they feel like buffing for the sake of buffing. Every item in the game does not have to be balanced for combat.

Why? Pretty much every often used cape except soul wars and skillcapes have offensive bonusses.
The 90 cape requires 130m xp, the 80s cape 50m. It should have decent stats.

The capes are supposed to be a reward for an achievement. At the moment, that reward is merely for showing off, which is extremely lame IMO. When the capes were announced, I thought they would have decent stats, and if they had stats, I would almost definitely wear them (as a combination of the stats and being proud of the achievement - just the latter isn't enough for me).

I agree that they should have some stats, but the difference between 90s and Max cape needs to be much larger. Considering the huge XP difference between the two and the time involved, a very slight improvement from 90+ to max isn't enough.

130mil xp for 90+ cape... 350mil xp for max cape.

If I had to decide on the stats the capes were to offer, I'd keep it simple. Give it +X defence in all categories as the player achieves (X*10)+ level milestones. In other words, at 40+ the cape gives +4 defence in all categories. None of the other bonuses would clearly maintain the usefulness of the other cape items in the game. Perhaps some prayer bonus reworking would be in order to compete with achievement capes, but I dunno.

Edit: Oh god... Noticed the timestamp. My bad.
